About the Paleoclimate Society

The Paleoclimate Society is a learned, UK-based society for scientists specialising in paleoclimatology. Founded in 2016, the Paleoclimate Society aims to encourage and facilitate a high standard of scientific research in paleoclimatology and support those scientists, at all career stages, who conduct such research. The Paleoclimate Society is committed to promoting equality and diversity throughout all our activities. The society aims to do this through the following objectives:

  • to encourage collaboration across the UK paleoclimate community

  • to hold a UK paleoclimate conference every three years to foster collaboration and discussion

  • to support early career researchers in paleoclimate fields through networking, mentoring and academic opportunities

  • to disseminate relevant news and opportunities to the UK paleoclimate community

In order to attend the Paleoclimate Society Conference, you must be a member of the society. Membership is free and lasts three years.
