Cardiff

Cardiff is Wales' capital and largest city. Cardiff, a port city situated where the River Taff meets the Severn Estuary and only an hour's drive into the heart of the Brecon Beacons, is a popular destination. The city is diverse and vibrant with a strong sense of Welsh history and culture.

It is no surprise that Cardiff has such a huge student population given that the university is in the UK top five for research excellence. The university, situated in the heart of the city, boasts a large and thriving School of Earth & Ocean Sciences based in the Main Building where PACS 2017 and the PEN Statistics Workshop are to be held.

Both Cardiff and the university are easily accessible by air, train, bus and road making it the ideal location to hold such a conference. Please click here for advice on travel options.

In order to attend the Paleoclimate Society Conference, you must be a member of the society. Membership is free and lasts three years.
