The airport is easily accessible from Cardiff by road, rail and bus. Rhoose has a train station with services running every hour to Cardiff Central train station. A 10 minute shuttle bus journey, costing only £1, connects the airport and the train station. For travel by bus into the city centre, the Cardiff Airport Express Bus Service operates every 30 minutes and costs only £5.
Train
Cardiff Central train station is situated in the heart of the city centre with regular connections to other large UK cities. It is only a 20 minute walk from the Main Building. Alternatively, a small intercity link connects Cardiff Central with Cathays; a small train station located immediately opposite the Main Building and only a 5 minute walk from the university accommodation booked for PACS 2017. This link train costs only £2.30 with services running every 15 - 20 minutes.
Road
Cardiff is also easily accessible by road located only five miles from junction 32 of the M4. All day parking in Cardiff, however, can be difficult and expensive. Public transport would be a much more advisable option.
Please note that the Tour of Britain cycling finishes in Cardiff on Sunday the 10th of September; the day before PACS 2017. There will be multiple road closures and parking restrictions in the city centre during the afternoon and evening. These closures may persist until Monday morning. If you plan to drive to Cardiff for the conference, please take this into account when planning your travel.
